Maratón Acuático Ruta del Arrecife
Maratón Acuático Ruta del ArrecifeIvan Torres, who organizes 5 open water races in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico, including the 1.25 km, 2.5 km and 5 km races at the Maratón Acuático Ruta del Arrecife, wants to inform the global open water swimming community of his well-run, stunningly beautiful races in Puerto Morelos.
The warm, clear waters of Puerto Morelos are the canvas in which Ivan paints his open water swims and triathlons. Ivan will be making a presentation on his races at the 2012 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in Long Beach, California on September 21-23.
The Maratón Acuático Ruta del Arrecife includes a 1.25 km, 2.5 km and 5 km open water swim in the waters of the Yucatán Peninsula, about 36 km south of Cancún.
The quaint and quiet coastal fishing village is also the site of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, a Mexican National Marine Park.
