Marcos Díaz Delivers Again At The United Nations

Marcos Díaz, the dynamic 2010 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year, explains the background of his swims in New York City during his acceptance speech at the United Nations. “We have to take advantage of opportunities that [captures] the attention of the people…to do something good. The best experiences are those that allow us to meet other people.” And with his 2010 Swim Across The Continents, he certainly took advantage of the opportunity to meet people and do good around the world.

Marcos also explains how he fought the currents for 22 hours on one of his swims and how he envisions and enables how marathon swimmers can do a whole lot of good for others.
