Marcy MacDonald Dreams, Prepares, Succeeds 15 Times

American Marcy MacDonald completed her 15th English Channel crossing today in 11 hours 50 minutes.
“#15 is in the books,” the American podiatrist and Honour Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame wrote on her blog Cutting Water.*
“I got to experience almost everything the channel hit you with: Darkness, start at 12:30 am. A beautiful sunrise around 4 am. Some, not much, bumpy condition. Some big traffic…and a stony beach landing, we had a visit from the British border patrol. Good I brought my passport, the film crew loved the entire [crossing].”
* Cutting Water = one swim stroke. In 1994, my life changed while cutting through the cool waters of the English Channel, a place that brings me peace. Swimming is such a wonderful, lifelong sport, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, no matter what level you may be. Dream, Prepare, Succeed.
