Open water can’t keep a good man down.

Mark Perry, who formerly led British Swimming, is now leading the Canadian open water swimming team at the 2015 Pan American Games.

Together with Richard Weinberger, the 2012 Olympic 10K Marathon Swim bronze medalist, Eric Hedlin, the 2013 FINA World Championships 5 km silver medalist, Jade Dusablon, Samantha Harding, and Swimming Canada High Performance Director John Atkinson and coach Steve Price, Perry will be heading to Toronto for the Canadian team.

Weinberger will be back to defend his Pan American title from the 2011 race held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The competition will take place at the Ontario Place West Channel in Toronto, where athletes will complete six 1.67 km loops.
