Martha as Medusa Wins Hat Competition at the Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival
Phil White reported on the 2022 Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival held in a 25m pool cut in the ice of the frozen Lake Memphremagog in Vermont, USA, “Winner of the Solo Hat Competition was Martha Wood of Manchester, Massachusetts with her Medusa as the original ‘Nasty Woman’, treading outside the boundaries set by traditional (patriarchal) society. Team Rivard with Margaret and Vera Rivard made their styin’ statement, once again winning the Team Hat prize.“
The water temperature of the lake was measured at 31.9°F or -0.05°C.
