Masayuki Moriya From Marathon To Masters Swimming

Masayuki Moriya organizes channel crossings for hard-core marathon swimmers in northern Japan to fun swim excursions and swimming holidays for masters swimmers, triathletes and fitness swimmer in Okinawa.
The latest ocean adventure in November that Moriya led was the 4-day Yakabi Island Swim Picnic on the uninhabited Okinawa island of Yakabijima (屋嘉比島) that sits in the Kerama Island chain. “This is an uninhabited island about 6.6 km around its perimeter. The fish are plentiful, the shadows under the coral reef are dark amid the rugged coral terrain around the island that is a great diving spot. Despite the fluctuating weather that ranged from sunny to rainy, both the air and water temperatures remained at a very comfortable 27°C (80°F).”
