Masters Open Water Swimmers Get L.O.S.T.

The Lake Ontario Swim Team (L.O.S.T.) will host the Masters Swimming Canada 10k National Championship and the 5th Annual 3.8 km L.O.S.T. Race along the scenic shore of Lake Ontario in Old Oakville.

Rob Kent explains, “It is a point-to-point race that passes some of the most beautiful estates and waterside parks in Canada and spectators can even walk the last kilometre on the lakeside trail to cheer the swimmers in to the finish at the lighthouse.

In a particularly patriotic and dramatic finish, the race ends when the swimmer touches the Canadian flag that is draped over the edge of the Navy St Pier.

This year LOST Swimming also presents the first annual Masters 10k Canadian National Championship. This route will essentially be 3 lengths of the LOST Race route and should prove to be a national classic. Both races are on August 11th.
