Sponsored by KAATSU, Barcelona, Spain.

WOWSA Live will feature Spain’s Mauricio Prieto.

He co-founded eDreams, the fifth largest global online travel agency, leading various functions of the company throughout its 15-year lifecycle from launch to IPO.

He started swimming on a regular basis in California in 1993. Since then, many things have changed, but his love of swimming has remained a constant. Once he moved from San Francisco to Barcelona in 1999, he discovered the magic of open water swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. His passion came full circle when eDreams became the sponsor of Marnaton.

He is also a member of Night Train Swimmers that completed a number of swims while raising over US$1.2 million for charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project, Lifehouse Foundation, and the Night Train Swimming Program for At-Risk Kids.

He co-founded Swim4Good that raised US$125,000 for non-profit causes while completing a 14.4 Strait of Gibraltar solo crossing, a 33.5 km English Channel 3-person relay, a 118 km 6-person Costa Brava relay, a 90 km Sea of Cortez 6-swimmer relay, and a 17 km Canary Islands solo swim.

For more information about Marnaton, visit www.marnaton.com. MARNATON is a combination of three Spanish words: MAR (sea) + NATACIÓN (swimming) + MARATHON.
