Maxim, a publication that covers luxury travel, style & fashion, sports, and automobiles, is also recognized for its cover models. The magazine – like Barra in the open water – is geared for men who believe that everything worth doing is worth overdoing.
Estonian open water swimmer and mermaid swimmerMerle Liivand wants to be on the cover of Maxim. Her campaign also helps raise money to support Homes for Wounded Warriors in its mission to build and remodel handicap accessible homes for disabled military veterans.
Online voting for Liivand to become one of the TOP 20 ends on June 4th is here.
“If I win the US$25,000 prize, I will use towards cleaning the oceans and to fight against the drowning deaths,” writes Liivan.
