It is a given that she will compete in the 10 km marathon swim at the 2019 U.S. Open Water Swimming Championships in Virginia Key on Biscayne Bay in South Florida – but she will be doing it without her mermaid fin.
“I am going swim at the 2019 FINA World Championships this summer in South Korea in the 5 km and 10 km races, but this weekend I am doing something different: I am going to swim 2 miles around Miami Island for Ocean Awareness.”
