An epic swim. Michael Read did them. Over and over and over again. He is a legend. Like few others in the sport.

33 times across the English Channel, one which started with frost on the ground. Beyond the English Channel, he has traveled the world and completed over 110 marathon swims greater than 16 kilometers in distance.

Some of his swims have taken over 24 hours. He is a pioneer and has done numerous unprecedented swims in bodies of water all over the world. His legacy is certainly established … not only as a swimmer, but also in every aspect of open water swimming. He has volunteered countless hours as an administrator for the Channel Swimming Association, helping many others achieve their dreams. He has unselfishly served in every capacity in the sport and understands the value of giving back to the sport. He has been awarded honors from organizations and cities the world over and is a man whose accomplishments, drive and personality are a treasure of the sport.

He will appear today in an interesting and insightful interview on WOWSA Live.
