Michał Perl Breaks World Record, Wins Sprint Freestyle Title at IISA 4th World Championship

Michał Perl is a drop dead sprinter who won the 50m freestyle title at the 2022 International Ice Swimming Association 4th World Championship in the 3.0°C water and 1.5°C air in Głogów, Poland. Perl led a trio of fast sprinters – including Christoph Karow (26:61) and Sławomir Wilkowski (26:74) – who broke American Quinn Fitzgerald‘s previous IISA world record of 26.94 set at the IISA 3rd World Championship in Murmansk, Russia in in 0.2°C.
