Michał Perl Wins 100 Breaststroke at IISA World Championship in World Record Time

The IISA 5th World Championship continued today in Samoëns, France with the 100m butterfly, 500m freestyle, 4×50 mixed medley relay, and the 100m breaststroke where veteran Michał Perl of Poland won and set a world record.

The 26-year-old Perl stood on top of the podium with a 1:11.33 finish, over second-place 26-year-old Bogdan Nas of Romania and third-place 42-year-old Francois Xavier Filias of France. Perl broke the previous world record was set by Sebastian Engel (25, Germany) in 1:12.80 at the Ice Swimming German Open.
