Mohamed Marouf Talks About Professional Marathon Swimming On WOWSA Live

48-year-old Marouf, a International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Honor Swimmer, is within one month of finishing his Ph.D. in sports physiology, had a typically fascinating talk about all things open water with International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame chairman Ned Denison on today’s edition of WOWSA Live. The two Hall of Famers talked about:
* enjoying the professional marathon swimming circuit and competing with other Hall of Famers like Petar Stoychev
* setting the long-standing record for the 26.4 km International Self-Transcendence Marathon-Schwimmen in Lake Zurich in Switzerland
* coaching in Egypt, Canada and around the world including at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
* swimming fast in cold water
* being inspired and encouraged by 20th century legend Abou-Heif
