Correction: In yesterday’s article on the female record holder of the International Self-Transcendence Marathon-Schwimmen across Lake Zurich in Switzerland, Patti Bauernfeind was listed as the record holder. While Bauernfeind is the fastest women over the age of 40 in the 26.4 km marathon swim (7 hours 53 minutes), the overall female record is held by Nadja Krüger, a Swiss swimmer from S. V. Limmat Zürich and an All-American freestyle at Florida Atlantic University, who set the record in 5 hours 59 minutes in 2001.

Our sincere apologies for this information.
