Nejib Belhedi Honored In Tunisia

Nejib Belhedi was awarded the 2020 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year, largely for his unprecedented pioneering 155 km 47 hour 50 minute circumnavigation swim around Djerba Island in his native Tunisia and his ongoing Ouma sea swimming program for the younger generations.
Since the WOWSA Awards were announced, the retired lieutenant colonel who was a former member of the Special Forces has been saluted and recognized by the Tunisian media and his military colleagues.
Yesterday, Brahim Bartagi, the Minister of Defense of Tunisia honored him [see here].
