New Hero Swims Intelligently In A Tough Sport

Vicki Michaelis and Eileen Blass of the USA TODAY created an excellent background piece on Alex Meyer.

In the build-up to the 2012 London Olympics, the American sports media will undoubtedly center their focus on swimmers like Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Natalie Coughlin and all the established stars of the powerful USA Swimming team. But the story of an articulate, soft-spoken Harvard University intellectual seems too good a story to pass up.
