New Swim Series In England’s Lake District
The EPIC Lakes Swim Series is a new series of open water events at three different venues in England’s Lake District. The series includes at Coniston, Derwent Water and Ullswater from May to July.The Lake District, for decades the location of many great events or the training base for English Channel swimmers and British Long Distance Swimming Association events, provides a dramatic back-drop to a new open water swim series that will include novice, experienced and potentially professional athletes.

Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Citrus Corps, World Open Water Swimming Association, Daily News of Open Water Swimming, Global Open Water Swimming Conference. Served on the FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee and as Technical Delegate with the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, and 9-time USA Swimming coaching staff.
