No Rain On Emily Brunemann’s Parade

It took 9 long months and a lifetime of training, but Emily Brunemann now finally sits on top of the open water swimming world with her 2013 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup series victory.

The 27-year-old finished first in the World Cup series for the first time in her career. She started off the season in January with a victory in Santos, Brazil, and followed that up with another victory in Viedma, Argentina and never looked back all season long although Martina Grimaldi and Ana Marcela Cunha made it close at the end of the season.
