The young Canadian teenager who has been raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Camp Trillium through her solo marathon swims is now expanding her reach by organizing shorter swims for others. Together with marathon swimmer Josh Reid, Carr is bringing the North Shore Challenge For Camp Trillium to Lake Erie.
Their vision is to raise money for Camp Trillium through Annaleise’s Radical Crossings by hosting a 750m swim, a 1.5 km swim and a 3.8 km swim around Turkey Point in the Turkey Point Provincial Park on June 28th.
Each event will have wetsuit and non-wetsuit divisions, helping raise funds for Camp Trillium, Rainbow Lake, a summer camp for children and families affected by cancer, located in Waterford, Ontario. There will be over $2000 in prizes offered, a charity BBQ, and local musicians.
