Northernly Navigation In Norway

Northernly Navigation In Norway

From Italy to Thailand and several locations in the UK, Coningham-Rolls Swimming Holidays offers a variety of luxury swimming tours.

And the tours are expanding northwards towards the Arctic Circle.

This September, a 6-day swimming tour of the stunning Lofoten Islands in Norway begins.

The surrounding sea is optimal for open water swimming with a tight temperature range – the most narrow anywhere in the Arctic Circle. The coastal waters are part of the Gulf Stream that keeps the temperature between 14-16°C (57-61°F).

The ambiance is relaxed: guests do not have to swim all the daily distances nor be experienced swimmers. It is a vacation holiday and guests are more than welcome to do as little or as much as they want to. They can sit out on the boat enjoying the incredibly remote and beautiful scenery.

The group is limited to 12 swimmers enabling the swim guides to focus on stroke improvements throughout the week. Guests often build confidence and end up swimming faster and further than they imagined possible. Guests include people up for a challenge, seasoned open water swimmers, triathletes and adventure racer all interested in unique swimming experiences in a real-world aquarium with sea otters.
