David Rieder of Swimming World Magazine interviewed Jordan Wilimovsky about swimming the 1500m freestyle and 10 km marathon swim at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
While juggling the two events the Olympics, Wilimovsky faced a tall order to medal in both events, ultimately finishing fourth in the 1500m freestyle in the pool and fifth in the 10 km marathon swim at Copacabana Beach.
But this summer, Wilimovsky will only focus on the 10 km marathon swim at the 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships – a scary thought for his open water rivals – and explains his plans in both the pool and open water above.
