Oh Yes, Dan Richards Joins Brother Scott In The Triple Crown
At the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim this weekend, Dan Richards became the newest and 42nd member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.Dan swam the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 8 hours 5 minutes at the age of 54. He also completed the Catalina Channel in 10 hours 10 minutes in 2008 at the age of 52. He has also completed the English Channel in 2010 at the age of 53 and the 24-mile Tampa Bay Marathon Swim in 2008 at the age of 51.
Dan and his brother Scott Richards MD are the only siblings in history to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
