Race directors Dr. Keith Bell and Sandy Neilson-Bell are all set for the 6th annual American Swimming Association Open Water Swimming National Collegiate Championships to be held in Austin, Texas today.
Texas A&M is favored to beat defending champion, Trinity University, in the women’s 6th Annual ASA Open Water Swimming National Collegiate Championship. Texas A&M’s Olympian, Camille Adams who placed 5th in the 200m butterfly at the 2012 London Olympics, is favored to defend her individual Championship.
On the men’s side, Trinity’s depth makes them a slight favorite to repeat last year’s win. 2011 individual champion, Australian Alexander Grandins of Savannah College of Art and Design looks to repeat individual honors.
