Olympian Love Of The Open Water

Olympian Love Of The Open Water

We love it when Olympic athletes and elite pool swimmers profess and demonstrate their love for the open water.

It does not matter if their interest is sailing (Ky Hurst of Australia), ocean swimming (Rebecca Soni of the USA), event management (Sandy Neilson-Bell of the USA), learn-to-swim teaching (Shane Gould of Australia) or surfing (Takeshi Matsuda of Japan).

We love it even more when these Olympians take their love of the swimming and the open water to inspire and motivate the next generation.

Matsuda [shown above], a five-time Olympian and four-time Olympic medalist, combines his inspirational message to the next generation of swimmers with his passion of getting out in the ocean while harnessing the power of the swells.
