The Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics will be held in the Serpentine in Hyde Park at 12 noon GMT on August 9th (women) and August 10th (men).
The two-hour race will be covered by all sorts of media – terrestrial, cable and satellite television by major networks and production companies, online and on social networks while reported by emails, tweets, Facebook messages by thousands of spectators ringing the Serpentine close to the action.
In order to watch the 2-hour race, when will the race start in your local area?
If you are in Honolulu, the marathon swim will start at 2 am. If you are in San Francisco, the marathon swim will start at 4 am. If you are in Denver, the marathon swim will start at 5 am. If you are in Chicago, the marathon swim will start at 6 am. If you are in New York or Santiago (Chile), the marathon swim will start at 7 am. If you are in São Paulo, the marathon swim will start at 8 am. If you are in Tehran, the marathon swim will start at 3:30 pm. If you are in Jakarta, the marathon swim will start at 6 pm. If you are in Taipei or Perth, the marathon swim will start at 7 pm. If you are in Tokyo, the marathon swim will start at 8 pm. If you are in Sydney, the marathon swim will start at 9 pm. If you are in Suva (Fiji), the marathon swim will start at 11 pm.
