One Of The Most Amazing 100m Freestyles In The World

Henri Kaarma won’t be able to beat Olympic swimming heroes Alexander Popov of Russia, Gary Hall, Jr. of the USA, Mark Spitz of the USA, Pieter van den Hoogenband of the Netherlands, Matt Biondi of the USA, or Ian Thorpe of Australia in a pool…unless the water temperature was near 0ºC and the air temperature was south of that mark.

Then all bets are wisely on the Estonia’s most successful extreme swimmer.

Kaarma‘s 1:03 in the 100m freestyle with the required open turns (i.e., no flip turns are allowed) was all the more impressive because it was done outdoors inside the Arctic Circle in Murmansk, Russia.
