Open Water Swimming Camps, Clinics, Challenges And Conferences
Open water swimming camps are increasingly being held all over the world and can refer to informal or formal clinics, seminars, training camps, conferences, webinars or get-togethers where open water coaches and swimmers discuss, train and learn from one another. The camps often include luminaries of the sport as well as related professionals from physicians to nutritionists.
Some are free and run by volunteers wishing to share their passion and knowledge. Some require a nominal cost just to cover basic expenses of the volunteers and coaches. And some are more expensive run by aquapreneurs. Some are in warm weather locations with a laid-back itinerary. Others are held in cold water locations with the specific purpose of training with other hard-core swimmers for the English Channel.
