While over 2,000 swimmers annually flock to La Jolla Cove for the original Rough Water Swim, nearly 900 swimmers annually flock to San Francisco Bay for another competitive, densely packed race.
Among the elite swimmers who will head to the RCP Tiburon Mile, Brooke Bennett, three-time Olympic gold medalist, Keri-Anne Payne, Olympic silver medalist and 2-time world champion, Ous Mellouli, 3-time pool and open water Olympic medalist, Michael Sheil from Australia, Evgeny Bezruchenko, Russian world champion, David Carry, Great British Olympian, Chip Peterson, 10 km world champion, Dan O’Connor and Becca Mann.
