ORCA’s #OceanMonth Campaign Is Ongoing

The month of November is ORCA’s Ocean Month Campaign where the wetsuit brand helps bring visibility to organizations that work to protect the world’s oceans.

Itziar Castro explains, “ORCA has launched its #OceanMonth campaign for November. The campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for organizations that work to protect the oceans and the promotion of open water swimming, and sport to improve wellbeing and accessibility.

Throughout November, ORCA will donate 5% of its total sales to four non-profit organizations: Whale and Dolphin Conservation, Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Open Minds Active, or Chris Nikic 1% Better Foundation. All four organizations already regularly collaborate with ORCA and share our brand values in their commitment to the environment and access to sport.

During the #OceanMonth campaign, any purchases made through the ORCA website (www.orca.com), customers will be able to choose from the four organizations at the online checkout.

Whale and Dolphin Conservation

The Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) is dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. It defends these creatures against many ongoing threats through campaigns, government advising, conservation projects, field research, and rescue. Their goal is to bring about a world in which all whales and dolphins are safe and free.

Great Barrier Reef Foundation

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, created in 1998, fights every day to save the reef and better understand its true condition and the challenges it faces. GBFR informs and educates people on needed action to address the causes of this problem, advises governments and industry, and raises funds to take practical action. They also fund innovative technologies that seek to protect and restore the reef over the next 10 years.

Open Minds Active

Open Minds Active is a non-profit organization based in Bristol, England, promoting mental health and wellness through open water swimming and outdoor sports, fostering a deeper human connection with nature. Their staff and volunteers include open water swim coaches, yoga instructors, social workers, and youth workers, all passionate about creating a community in which everyone is welcome.

Chris Nikic Foundation

The Chris Nikic Foundation aims to make fitness accessible and achievable for all people with intellectual and development disabilities (IDDs). Its mission is to incorporate physical activity for individuals and IDDs as a standard practice for society, schools, and health and wellness facilities.

Connection, respect, preservation of the environment, and the promotion of open water swimming to improve wellbeing are core values for the brand. With his campaign, ORCA reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and care for our oceans, its species, and our responsibility to ensure access and inclusion in sport.
