Pat Gallant-Charette Cooks Up A Strait Swim
Despite the outcome of Pat Gallant-Charette‘s attempt, she was more than optimistic. “Mother Nature has not dampened my spirit to continue with my open water swim adventures. If anything, she has energized my determination.”
Philip Rush explained the situation, “Pat was being pulled toward the Pacific with no chance of reaching land.”
But she certainly gave it her all on this attempt. “Mother Nature sent some very strong tidal flows preventing me from finishing my swim. Current was pulling me away from the finish…I would not have stopped my swim if there was a remote chance of completing my swim of Cook Strait.”
