In February 2019,
Paul Georgescu completed an
Ice Mile at the Daimon Club in Bucharest, Romania in 3.02°C water and 8.00°C air temperatures in 22 minutes 43 seconds.
With that swim, he achieved the
Frosted Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming that requires completion of both the
Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and an Ice Mile, clearly demonstrating both endurance in swimming marathon distances and extreme cold water swimming.
