Paul Georgescu knows it is time for him to pay back to the sport of ice swimming. “So I try to make and to bring a national team at the Ice Swimming World Cup in Poland. I am doing this because ice swimming gave me so much satisfaction. Similar to when I swam the English Channel, my dream was to bring the first Romanian relay team composed by my students. Now after I was the first and only Romanian swimmer at the World Cup in Murmansk, my dream is to make a Romanian national team of at least 10 competitive ice swimmers. These athletes are swimmers, former water polo players, and triathletes. I already started acclimatization in the cold water and using the Wim Hof breathing method. Now in Romania, the weather is getting warmer and the only training method will be done in ice baths. Our specific training will start from November. I will teach them everything that I learned in these amazing two years of ice swimming.”
