Peter Vanderkaay To Headline 10th Annual Teal Lake Swim
Race coordinator Rich Rossway announced the 10th annual Teal Lake Swim to be held in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The point-to-point 2.25-mile swim between the cities of Negaunee and Ishpeming is a fundraiser for the Diabetes Kids Camp.
With over $80,000 raised, the calm lake swim is a brilliant display of civic pride and enthusiasm with over 300 kayakers helping establish a protective safety net around the swimmers estimated to be 200 at this year’s event.
3-time Olympic medalist Peter Vanderkaay, considered one of the key leaders of the American men’s national team over the years, will headline the event on July 27th.
