Playful Pod On A Peregrination

Playful Pod On A Peregrination

Earlier this week, we wrote how there seem to be more dolphins in the open water swimming training grounds in Huntington Beach, California than previously seen in the 1970’s (see article here).

When we swim right outside the surf line along the coast between Sunset Beach and Newport Beach, it seems that the click of the dolphins soon appears as do their fins and head. Sometimes, the dolphins are alone, in pairs or sometimes in pods. But there seems to be many more dolphins than what we previously experienced.

Check out from this video of a gigantic pod of dolphins taken south of Huntington Beach in Dana Point near where the Oak Streeter pod trains.

Video of the dolphin pod is courtesy of Captain Dave Anderson’s Dolphin and Whale Watchers.
