Poetic License To Swim All Year
North, south, east and west,
Open water swimming is the best.
Cold, warm, smooth or rough,
Open water swimming can be tough.
Point-to-point or out-and-back,
Mother Nature will give you no slack.
In a lake, bay, river or ocean,
Gotta keep up the forward motion.
Winter, spring, summer or fall,
In the open water, you can have a ball.
As the seasons pass throughout the year,
Keep on swimming without no fear.
Open water takes lots of planning and stuff,
Swim all you want, but it’s never enough.
