It was cold on Saturday night in South Jersey on the East Coast of the United States. So Toa a le Tai founder Bruckner Chase brought a little bit of the tropics and a whole lot of fun to the Ocean City Swim Club workout.
They took out all the lane lines in the indoor pool and conducted a Pool Open Water workout for dozens of swimmers – with a bit of tropical flair.
“It exceeded all my expectations,” explained the innovative Uila O Le Sami. “We used rope tied around the base of the tree with four equal length pieces coming around from that rope equi-distance around the larger base. The four segments met in the middle underwater and were clipped together with a carabiner that also clipped to an anchor line. The anchor line was set pretty tight to hold the tree upright.
It was a blast. Who says you have to be 12 to have a pool party?”
