¿Por qué? Por La Libre

It’s outstanding beauty is matched by the genuine hospitality of its organizers and ambiance of excitement. Por La Libre is a gorgeous two-race event from Cancún to Isla Mujeres in Quintana Roo in southern Mexico. Swimmers can choose either a 3 km or an inter-island 10 km ocean course in crystal-clear tropical waters that can occasionally become rough and tidal.
The 2013 event, organized by Rafa Hernández, is sometimes called the PLL 10K Open Water Cancun to Isla Mujeres. It will be held on May 25th. The field is limited to 300 swimmers in the 3 km race and 450 swimmers in the 10 km race swimmers travel over the world-famous Cancun Underwater Museum.
