Prabhat Raju Koli Makes Molokai

Prabhat Raju Koli is a 17-year-old open water swimmer from Mumbai, India who is coached by his father Rrkoli Koli who has now completed 3 Oceans Seven channels with yesterday’s crossing of the Molokai Channel in 17 hours 22 minutes.

Among his achievements, Prabhat has completed the 81 km India National Open Water Swimming Competition in West Bengal, a 66 km swim around Jersey in 10 hours 11 minutes, a 34 km crossing of the English Channel in 13 hours 14 minutes, an 8 km Langebaan swim in South Africa in 1 hour 55 minutes, a 7.4 km crossing from Robben Island in 2 hours 2 minutes, an 8 km swim around Cape of Good Hope in 1 hour 55 minutes, an 8 km swim from Llandudno to Camps Bay in 2 hours 14 minutes, an 18 km swim from Blouberg to Robben Island to Melkbos in 5 hours 30 minutes, a 10 km circumnavigation around Robben Island in 3 hours 5 minutes, a 32.5 km crossing of the Catalina Channel in 10 hours 30 minutes.

This week’s Molokai Channel is just another notch in the teenager’s global quest of challenging marathon swims.
