This certification course and clinic will provide the tools to safely implement and improve open water swimming experiences for all levels of swimmers.

Take the online course at your own pace and join four weekly live zoom discussion sessions led by Coach Marcia Benjamin.

Designed for year-round head and assistant coaches, masters coaches, group leaders, and anyone who wants to create safe, fun open water swimming experiences. You will be provided the tools to introduce a novice swimmer to their first 1K, run training groups in the open water, and coach swimmers in elite 5K, 10K, 25K competitions, channel and marathon swimming.

The course covers everything from safety protocols, and reading weather and water condition apps, to proper open water swimming techniques and race day tactics.

What to expect in this course

The certification program will educate coaches and open water leaders on everything from safety to open water swimming technique to race tactics.
