Courtney Kline
Courtney was faced with the real dangers of open water drowning when she fell out of a raft at age 12. Despite having been a competitive swimmer since 5 years old, she realized there was a gap between the skills she knew so well in the pool to the skills she should’ve known to save herself. Determined to fix this gap she saw in traditional swimming lessons, Courtney became involved with the National Drowning Prevention Learn To Swim as an advocate and speaker.
Courtney Kline has taken extensive experience in technical swim coaching, learn to swim and aquatic therapy combining it with a passion to impact drowning and water safety. She does this with a swim curriculum that focuses on open water scenarios with intentional applications of swim skills and experiential learning. Empowered with the science of water which facilitates a healing and healthy relationship with it, she has witnessed neural pathways develop that trigger lifesaving responses from toddler to adult. Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute Certified, Watsu 3, Cranial Sacral 1, USMS Adult Learn to Swim, USMS Coach Level 2, BS in Social Work and MA in Public Administration. Member of NDPA, USSSA and ASCA.
