This program is your gateway to mastering the art of coaching a diverse range of swimmers, from beginners to those aspiring to conquer challenges like the English Channel.

The wellness movement across the UK & Europe, gained momentum during the pandemic, drawing swimmers of various levels to the thrills of open water. This surge has seen many embrace the raw beauty of wild swimming, progressing to more ambitious swims, including competitive races and even training for marathon swims like the English Channel.

An Overview

Certification Levels

  • Level 1 – a score of 75% correct answers on the WOWSA test .
  • Level 2 – a score of 80% and coach 1 athlete who has completed a 5 KM swim in open water.
  • Level 3 – A score of 85% and one athlete who has completed a 10KM Swim in open water.
  • Level 4 – A score of 90% and coaching of one athlete who has completed a 25 KM swim, or competed in a national championship event.
  • Level 5 – A score of 95% and coaching 1 athlete who has competed in the Olympic Games or an international championship event or completed a channel crossing.

Sarah Wiseman
Sarah Wiseman is an open water swimmer, STA Open Water Tutor, swimming coach
and an International Ice Swimming Association official from Aviemore, Scotland.

Sarah has just shy of two decades of experience in planning, developing and delivering training programs for swimmers ranging in age from 3 years through to adults, from beginners through to competitive swimming, as well as professional qualifications.

Sarah loves inspiring learning whether that is for personal or professional development. Sarah is a pioneer in the local area delivering a range of swim coaching both in the local swimming pool and open water.
