Protecting The Feet In Ice Swimming

Protecting The Feet In Ice Swimming

With the ice and snow creeping closer and closer to the ice swimmers competing in the frozen Lake Wöhrsee at the 2017 Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in Burghausen, Germany, it is interesting to see how many swimmers wear Crocs in and out of the water.

Easier to slip in and out compared to boots or flip flops because their feet are so cold, Crocs are an indispensible part of some ice swimmer’s gear.*

* But the South African ice swimmers are the Crocs holdouts and still insist to wear their flip-flops in the ice.
