Quite A Month For Cesar Saade Jr.

After Cesar Saade Jr. [shown above] set a bioprene record for the 36 km Travessia do Leme ao Pontal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 8 hours 53 minutes in October, the 52-year-old downshifted to the 5 km Travessia João Moreno in Vila Velha and won the event held on November 5th in 1 hour 26 minutes 40 seconds.

Ten seconds later, second place went to Marcio Junqueira with Leonardo Drummond in third in 1 hour 33 minutes.

In the women’s version of the 5 km the champion was Lila Tavares won the women’s division in 1 hour 32 minutes 41 seconds over Izabela Alves in 1 hour 35 minutes with Priscilla Magalhães finished third in 1 hour 42 minutes.

The 2.5 km race saw 13-year-old Noam Franchi win in 28:52 over Vinícius Telles. Maria da Cruz won in 28:54. In the 1 km race, 12-year-old Victor Sansoni won in 13:44 with 12-year-old Tyara Ramos winning the girl’s division in 14:12.

Travessia João Moreno forged a partnership with the Brazilian Bar Association to establish a special division for lawyers. In the 5 km legal race, the winners were Juvenal Neto (1 hour 56 minutes) and Barbara Rebuli (2 hours 19 minutes) stood on top of the podium. In the 2.5 km race, Nelson Moreira (36:52) and Livia Ferreira (38:10). In the 1 km event, Pedro Passos (17:06) and Hellen Fante (18:08).
