Rachel Doyle Honored By The Ireland Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame

The Irish Long Distance Swimming Association is holding its annual awards on November 27th in Galway, a city on Ireland’s west coast where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean.  For tickets to the ceremonies, visit here.

As part of these awards, Rachel Doyle will be inducted as an Honour Swimmer in the Ireland Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame‘s Class of 2021.

2010: she completed a 10 km crossing of Lough Dan, a 10 km crossing of Lough Erne, and a 10 km crossing of Camlough Lake.

2011 she completed a 17 km crossing of Lough Erne and a 10 km crossing of Camlough Lake.

2012: she completed a 33.5 km crossing of the English Channel on August 8th in 16 hours 11 minutes.

2014: she completed a two-way 28 km crossing from Dun Laoghaire to Bray Head in August.

2016: she completed a 35 km crossing of the North Channel after an unsuccessful attempt in 2015 on July 31st in 13 hours 4 minutes.

2017: she completed a 14 km across Lake Geneva in August and competed in the International Ice Swimming Championships Ice Kilometer in January in Burghausen, Germany in 19 minutes 25.43 seconds, taking 4th in her 25-29 year age group.

2018: she completed an Ice Mile in Amstel, The Netherlands on January 19th in 27 minutes 21 seconds.

2019: she completed a two-way 11 km crossing between Malta and Gozo in August.
