Ritu Kedia Returns To The Sport After 8 Years

Ritu Kedia is an open water swimmer, a chemical engineer and entrepreneur from India who successfully completed 4 marathon swims and 2 Oceans Seven channels within a span of 26 days when Kedia was 18 years old in 2007.

She crossed the Strait of Gibraltar on July 17th in 3 hours 59 minutes, finished third in the 26 km International Championship of Toroneous Gulf on July 20th in 9 hours 51 minutes, completed the 26.4 km International Self-Transcendence Marathon-Schwimmen on August 5th, and a crossing of the English Channel in 15 hours 50 minutes on August 11th.

Years went by and Kedia is now back in the game after finishing her schooling and venturing out into the entrepreneurial world.

She is currently planning her 3 Swim Challenge for Rotary’s End Polio Now Campaign and a crossing of the Palk Strait from Sri Lanka to India…once again with her supportive family and coach.
