Rosario Race Goes Back To The Future

Cristián Fredes, the race director for the Maratón Acuática Internacional Ciudad de Rosario, confirmed that the former 15 km FINA pro marathon swim on the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix circuit, has moved from the Rambla Catalunya Beach to a pond in the Parque de la Independencia for its February 7th race.

The sprint race for the Maratón Acuática Internacional Ciudad de Rosario was once held in the pond back in 2001 when Petar Stoychev and Britta Kamrau.

This year, 25 competitors from 9 countries will race 12 laps around the flat-water course in Rosario, Argentina.
