Safety Concerns Leads To Dashed Dreams
Shortly before 8 pm, after 14 hours in the water, Jamie Patrick‘s dream to swim around the edges of Lake Tahoe was dashed. Near Zephyr Cove, Nevada, he and the crew decided for safety reasons that it was best to stop after battered about by unusually rough conditions caused by strong winds.
An adventurer at heart, Patrick took on a risky swim and Mother Nature dealt him a very sloppy hand. It was much choppier than expected with large waves coming inconsistently in all directions.
