Sharon Van Rouwendaal is swimming fast, very fast.

She finished second in the 400m freestyle behind Mireya Belmonte Garcia of Spain at the 2014 FINA Short Course Swimming Championships in Doha, Qatar. Her time of 3:57.76 was blazing fast – and consistent.

She went out in a 27.78, but then her next 50m split times were 29.48, 30.00, 30.00, 30.04, 30.32, 30.08, and 30.06.

That consistency is going to prove very beneficial at the 2015 FINA Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia where she will attempt to qualify for the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
