As we travel around the world, we have the pleasure to meet many coaches who wake up very early in the morning and continue to coach, guide, educate and inspire swimmers of all ages in various ways.

Sibani Makhanya of the Seals Swimming Club in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa is one of those special individuals. The young man from KwaMashu in South Africa is as passionate and dedicated to pool and open water swimming as they come.

I get up early to coach morning workout, then I ride my bike to school and then I am back at the pool coaching until 9:30 at night. I really love coaching and swimming, and I am learning so much from everyone who is helping me.”
